Wet Lizard

I know that there are many here who have eaten at the Wet Lizard in Belize. What do you recommend there? What should we expect to spend on lunch per person?

We always grab an order of conch fritters and a couple of Belkins at the Wet Lizard. I don't recall the exact prices for the fritters but Belkins were 2/$5.

We have had ceviche with shrimp and conch! We have had it every time we sail there.

. DH had a fried fish and he liked it. Take a look around while you walk in to see what appeals to you. Their menu is good and has variety; it is a matter of what you like.

Do they have the belizian chicken and rice combo that we have had other places in Belize? Anything that is authentic to Belize that does not contain fish or seafood?

Not to far from the tourism village is Nerie's restaurant, easy walking distance. They serve great traditional food, yes the beans and rice but also oxtail, stewed cowsfoot and the celebrated often mentioned gibnut. I highly recommend gibnut...the royal rat...delicious!
