pinkie Posted April 20, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2005 We are thinking of booking a small bunk cabin for only 2 people. I know this will be smaller, but am wondering how much smaller.
kujobie Posted April 20, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2005 As far as I know, the 1A's on Carnival are the same square footage as the 4A rooms, which means that you will actually have MORE floor space.
jleq Posted April 20, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2005 Actually, not smaller at all. In fact, it may appear a little bigger. That's because any slightly smaller size is more than made up for by the fact there isn't a second bed on the floor...a bed taking up some "floor space". SoCalgirl Posted April 20, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2005 I've been in one of these before, and am going in one again (unless I get upgraded). I've also been in a "regular" cabin. No real size difference, it's just a different layout. Same amount of storage, etc. Some of them do not allow the beds to be put together, that's the main difference. Joedog Posted April 20, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2005 I spent 26 years in the Navy sailing on all different types of ships from Destroyers to Aircraft Carriers and the one thing that was consistant throughout was, unless you were a VERY senior officer, all sleeping arrangements were worse than the worse cabin on a cruise line. The best I ever had was a 2 man bunk room I shared for an 8 month cruise during Persian Gulf War I, and I was happy to have that. You will be fine. Enjoy the cost savings. cls624 Posted April 20, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2005 I have never been in a 1A, but we did book one for our 15 year old daughter, and her friend. My husband and I are across from them in a 6A, outside cabin. I like the window myself, but my daughter is looking forward to no sunlight coming through a window in the morning. Don't forget you won't be in the cabin a whole lot anyway. We will be on the Valor on May 8th!!!

lauram Posted April 20, 2005 #8 Share Posted April 20, 2005 I've checked out a 1A on the Ecstasy and was expecting it to be really small but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Not bad at all.
