Elation - what time did you arrive at the port?

If you have cruised Elation recently, what time did you arrive at the port in New Orleans & how crowded was it then? How long did you have to wait? Thanks!

We usually arrive around 10:30am. Boarding starts around 11-11:30am

It doesnt get too crowded until the airport buses start arriving around 12-1pm.

We parked at about 9am on 2/11/12. Checked our big bags and walked over to the French Market. We went back to our car at about 12:45 and got our carry on luggage. On the ship within 10-15 minutes! Took us 8 cruises to learn that we don't have to be the first on the ship. The rooms opened at 1:30 so lunch was easy, not crowed. Hope this helps.

just on the Elation 2 weeks ago. We arrived at the pier at about 10:00 or so. dropped off our luggage and headed inside where we waited. Ship was cleared and boarding began "early" (according to them) at about 11:30ish.

I was wondering about this too. We are returning our rental car before our Thursday-Monday Elation cruise. We will be staying overnight in the French Quarter. Maybe I will order a taxi for 10:15 and have the taxi drop us off at 10:30? Then we can check our suitcases and hang onto small carry-ons. Figure we can be on the ship by 11:30 or so. Does that sound about right?
