Definitely not St. Thomas.

In St Maarten you actually have to go to the french side the safest place to go is La Casa Del Habano, 71 Port La Royale, Marigot, St Martin

In Nassau, the Havana Humidor inside the Atlantis resort is the only legit place to get them. The rest are very highly likely to be fakes. They are very expensive though.

Graycliff Cigar Company in Nassau has some really nice cigars too. They aren't cubans, but they are very good - pricey though. The address (google to make sure) is 12 W Hill Street in Nassau.

Cruise to Nassau, st Thomas and st Maarten.

Are there real Cubans or only fakes?

What is a favorite - preferably in Nassau to smoke during rest of cruise?

Nassau - all fakes except for what is in Atlantis

St Thomas - US territory so the embargo applies. You won't find any

St Maarten - there is a La Casa del Habano dealer in Marigolt

Fakes are everywhere in the Caribbean - only buy from authorized dealers like the LCdH's

My faves - PSD4's and Bolivar Beli Fino's

I have had real Cubans and a fake Cuban once. I found I did not like the Cuban cigars. I once had a dive master in Cozumel who's family was in the cigar business before Castro came to power. He explained that most of the Cuban cigar makers left and took their best plants and seeds with them. I think most fled to the Dominican Repulic. I prefer a Macanudo over at Cuban.

Herfnerd is correct. I would add that while in Nassau take a trip to Graycliff Hotel and visit the cigar factory. They make good cigars although very expensive. These are not Cuban. They use other Caribbean region tobaccos. The red label is good, the maroon label is very good and so is the purple label. If you like the taste of coffee try the espresso cigar.
