Cab Fare in PV

Any idea what the cab fare is from the cruise terminal to Velas Vallerta (on the water near the Marina Golf Course. Some friends are there during our stopover

Both white federal (inside the port) and yellow city (outside the port) taxis charge on a zone basis. Federal charge in US dollars per person, city charge is in pesos per cab ride with up to four passengers (10:1 exchange rate if you choose to pay in USD's).

This is an extremely short, within zone ride for both companies. I don't know for a fact, but believe the federal charge should be either $2 or $3 USD per person; city should be 40 pesos for the same trip. Whatever company you use to get to Velas Vallarta, you will be taking the yellow taxi back as they are the only company licensed to pick up passengers outside the port/airport.

For what it's worth ... there will be a board in the lobby of the Velas Vallarta that lists the established taxi rate from the Marina Vallarta resorts to the port and/or anywhere in greater Vallarta. Your friends can tell you in advance exactly what the charge will be via a yellow city taxi to/from VV and the Maritime Terminal (aka cruise ship port).

Enjoy!!!
