Rare uktog Posted February 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2012 I wonder if anyone who is going on Summit in the next couple of months could look at their wine list fro me and see if Ata Rangi the most divine Sauv Blanc from New Zealand is listed. It is shown on the fleet wide lists posted earlier this month but there was the rider that not all ships carry all the wines. Just keen to see if I can get really excited This is a great addition to the X wine list Thanks A
minz56 Posted February 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2012 I can't answer your question, but pleased to hear you like the Ata Rangi! I emigrated from Scotland to NZ so that I could drink the fabulous wines here all the time - well, not quite true, but it is a good reason for being in NZ! Rare uktog Posted February 25, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted February 25, 2012 I have cousins in 4 Wellington, and an amazing 90 year old Aunt who emigrated from Dundee. On our first visit over she took us for a night to stay in Martinborouh and it's a firm favourite, first stop is always Ata Rangi. It is difficult and expensive to find here so although at $US 50 that's a mark up for NZ it is a good price for a UK restaurant. The other wines we liked are Church Road - we had a lovely day there at Napier I wish we could live in NZ but cousins are not a good enough reason to get residency
Rare uktog Posted March 8, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted March 8, 2012 This is not a bump up honestly, I am just wondering if I could ask a favour of someone going on summit soon to check for us, thanks
Jborosara Posted March 8, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 8, 2012 Just back from the Summit and I cannot honestly remember seeing that particular wine, but can assure you that there are several lovely Savingnon Blancs/Pinot Grigios on the lists - every venue has different wines, so you might just have to drink your way through several of them:-)
