stefily87 Posted February 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 29, 2012 Hello, i'm an italian student and i'm developing a thesis about luxury cruise market. do you have some material that you can share? i'm looking for information about luxury cruise market ( i have already Clia Reports but unfurtunaly they focus only on cruise market in general) above all i need market analysis ( statistic, growth, customer...). My thesis will focus on communication strategies of luxury cruise lines, so i'm also looking for material about: - visual merchandising (how these companies community luxury by ship design) - crossing marketing ( partnership between luxury lines and other luxury company, such as Seabourn and Tumi Luggage) - direct marketing (mailing, newsletter....) - web communication (social space, blog....) i hope you could help me
martinsfo Posted February 29, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 29, 2012 The place to start is the individual cruise ship line's web sites. Check Seabourne, Sea Dream, Regent, Crystal and Windstar, these are the top of the line luxury cruise ship lines. Then check Oceana, Asumara and Cunard, which are considered one step below, sometimes considered luxury light. Cunard is a strange hybrid, as they have luxury levels on very large ships. Some consider it luxury, some premium, some mass market with a luxury upgrade. Keep us informed as to the progress of your research, it sounds very interesting. stefily87 Posted March 1, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted March 1, 2012 thank you very much for your reply. I have already analyzed their web sites and also Clia,Ecc Reports and so on. But unfurtunatly i didn't find specifical information about luxury cruise market (trends, growt, data) now i'm also very interested in how these companies have changed/are changing their communication and marketing strategies in order to stop "Concordia Effect" (if they was affected!). do you have some ideas about it? Maybe as far as prices/discounts are concerned? or maybe their are focuses their attention on different topics (such as safety and security)? thank you?
