Comfort Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport South

I stayed here in 2004 after Hurricane Wilma came through. We needed to scramble to find a place as the hotel we booked was with out power and closed. It didn't have full power or hot water. They were running on generators. We just needed a place to sleep. The rooms were clean. The pool area was nice and had an outside bar. The only resturant that was open was the TGIF about a block away. We walked there and never felt unsafe.

Hope this helps some and maybe someone that has been there recently can chime in.

Anyone know anything about this hotel?

If it's the one on Stirling Rd-don't do it. We stayed here pre cruise back in 2010-arrived after midnight kind of scary. You get to the rooms from outside-just like a motel, lighting wasn't the greatest.

You might want to try Hyatt Place South- its not far from Comfort Inn (I believe its actually across the road from them- a little further back from the main street though) and they have a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and back. Post-cruise we stayed here and liked it so much better.
