Galveston is great Carnival did a nice remodel for the Magic I guess

Seperate VIP/Platinum line, escalator and lounge. It is also where you get your S&S card

One of the best boarding experiences ever.

Good question! Does anyone know the answer for Royal Caribbean? I have read a lot of unfavorable reviews for embarkation and debarkation in Galveston. This is our first time sailing out of Galveston and looking to find out if having a suite and/or being a platinum member will make the process any smoother or accommodating.

Thank you!

We arrive at the terminal after boarding has opened (why stand around and wait?), checked in and went straight to the ship. Have seen a diamond, diamond plus area cordoned off, but have had no need to use.

There will always be unfavorable reviews for everything. Everyone has their own opinion and situation.

We have never had a problem, on or off, but then we live here and have traveled enough that little bothers us.

We used the diamond lounge and got boarded first, so that was easy for us. But getting off the ship. OMG ! From the time they called our luggage color to getting to the street was 2 hours. Don't know why , but the line snaked back and forth inside the terminal. If you used a luggage handeler you went to the head of the line. Dont know how much time that saves as you have to stand in a line to use them.
