Shops in Marigot hours

Hi

We would like to do some shopping in Marigot and were wondering if anyone knew the approximate hours of operation. We will be there on a Wednesday and have heard something about the shops closing at noon. Any info would be appreciated.

With some variation, shops in Marigot are generally open from 9:00 - noon and then reopen from around 2:00 - 6:00.

 

Dutch side shops generally stay open all day.

One more question...I really like contemporary sterling silver jewelry...possibly something made by a local artist..unique.

Any shops on St Maarten you think I might try?

I would suggest that you visit our friends at Shiva's and Trident on Front Street, as they have quite a line of jewelry available, but I'm not sure that much of it is of local design.

 

I am aware of a jewelery shop on the island, and though I have a problem with some of the information that they have posted in the past, I will refer you to Meevis. You'll need a taxi to get to their gallery, which has moved out to the airport/Simpson Bay area.
