Republic Day, June 2 in Italy - What will be closed?

I just came across the holiday schedule for Italy. We will be in Venice June 2, Republic Day, a legal, National holiday. I am reading conflicting information about what types of things will be open or closed. Can anyone shed some light? Will most attractions, churches, museums be closed in Venice? Will there be special events? This is our one full day in Venice pre-cruise so I wanted to plan accordingly.
