Jewel 5 Day Compasses 2/18/2012, Planner, Spa Menu (Tampa)

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd share the docs I have from my recent 5 day Jewel Cruise for those looking for them with out picking through a review.

Note: Day 1 was abbreviated on this cruise due to fog, and the Compass does not have all the afternoon activities and open hours listed.

Thanks for posting these! It is making me eager for our upcoming trip. One question - What is the explorer academy? Adults or kids?

The "Explorer Academy" is kind of a catch all title for all their adult enrichment classes, like scrapbooking, dance class etc. ( some are "family" events you can do with the kids) They are listed in the Compass, but not as Explorer Academy" and I'm pretty sure you don't get a PhD after the cruise;)

Well, from reading your review and looking at this compass, I guess they update and print the compasses daily. I saw the 9pm sailaway and thought what the heck? Then I remembered you were on the cruise that boarded late and left late. Nice they updated that a bit.

Just learned that formal night is non-smoking night in the casino. My friend Jon will love that and I might actually go to the casino that night.

Yes, I think they print them daily in case of a change, so you'll notice there are no afternoon "Open Hours" for the dining venues and no afternoon activities...Its almost like they wiped our memories Martix style so we wouldnt be upset about what we missed;)

So my warning holds, not to use this Day 1!

I did not find the Casino too smokey (only walking through though), and Mom wouldnt have stayed if it was miserable. Formal night is def. non smoking on formal night, to avoid smokey tuxes (yuck!) Enjoy!

Thanks for the heads up. It was great to get a peek for what's to come on our 3/31 sailing.

I was surprised that we have to be back on board at 3:30 in Costa Maya. That's earlier than I had thought however this will help us plan.:)
