DublinLass Posted March 5, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2012 I have been told by my T/A that there is no point checking in on line as you have to do it all over again at the port any way. We sail from Civitavecchia
cruisenfever Posted March 5, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2012 I have been told by my T/A that there is no point checking in on line as you have to do it all over again at the port any way. We sail from Civitavecchia Yes, you have to check in prior to boarding the ship which means giving them your passport, credit card and SetSail Pass. The SetSail Pass that you fill in on line contains information that is needed by RCI prior to cruising. If you don't do it on-line and print it off before you leave (which can be done after final payment) you will have to do it at Check-in. Doing it at home just saves you some time. You have up until 3 days prior to departure to print it off.

kimbolimbo Posted March 5, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2012 You should defiantly check in online otherwise you have to read and sign the cruise contract & set up your on board account, and wait for your set sail passes. Yes, you still need to check in and go through security but you will be ahead of the game and will not need to stand in the long line for those who have not did the on line check in. Desert Cruizers Posted March 5, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2012 Am wondering what your TA was referring to, when she told you that. Once I book our cruises, I begin filling out the Set Sail pass. On our next cruise, I will need to get our daughters information.
LESLIEKURZ Posted March 5, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2012 When you check in online they only verify the info you've entered then you get your seapass and you're on your way. When you check in at the port they have to enter all of your info right there which takes up precious vacay time IMHO. If you can why not do your check in in your PJ's at home?
