Cruise & Stay Queries

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help me with a few queries please on Cruise & Stay?

What time are you expected to vacate the ship?

How do Thomson's arrange to get you from the ship to the Hotel? and how are you fixed with check in times at the Hotel?

What method of transport used? ie taxi/coach/.donkey :)

Done a cruise and stay 3 times and have left the ship around lunch time - 11.30/12 ish. A coach is waiting for you at the port and will take you to the hotel. You may have a slight wait for your room after checking in but this gives you time for lunch and a drink or two - you will have somewhere to leave your luggage if you wish to explore the hotel first.

We stayed in Marmaris after the cruise and had plenty of time to look around the town in the morning as our coach didn't pick us up until after lunch. You can go on and off ship as you like before pick up. We had a good look round all the other decks, cabins and suites as nearly everyone left before us.:)

:D We looked around the suites on Celebration too when we were on a late flight back from Corfu. It was when they'd just been refurbished. Decided they were nice, but would probably stick with our Standard Outside.

Same here. They were nice, but not THAT nice to warrant hundreds of pounds more on the holiday, lol. Welcome to the skinflints club, I'd rather spend on the trips.:D:D

We did a cruise and stay (Red Sea Magic). You will be given a time to vacate the ship and will be transferred from the ship by coach to your hotel. We were given a luggage label to put on our cases the night before disembarking ( different coloured label to identify which coach your luggage was to go on.) It was really well organised.

Same! :D

Go for the lowest cabin type (as you only sleep in it anyway), perhaps an outside cabin so you can see where you are where you wake up, then spend the rest of the money on trips and doing things independently at the ports and get to see the destinations properly and explore!! :)
