Yes.. I reserved as soon as I put my deposit down.

There's an email address to use on the website (after you log into your bookings, it's somewhere in there - each ship has it's own email addr -- the freedom was FDSTEAKHOUSE@carnival.com).

Confirmation/response was timely and within 24 hours of my e-mailing..

Do you get charged the day of your reservation? If you make a reservation and something comes up that you end up not going, do they charge you anyway?

No, they charge you the night that you dine there. I don't think they charge you if you cancel your reso.

Thank you so much for getting back so quickly. On RCCL we have always had to pay at the time of making the reservations. At least that's the way it was on our last cruise in '09. I"ll go online and make reservations :)

This morning I received my Steakhouse confirmation in my email. I think I made the request last Monday, so took 8 days to confirm...just an FYI. :)
