Biobay with "considerable moonlight?"

Thebox

Recommended Posts

Staying post cruise and wanted to take the Biobay kayak excursion. Looked up the moon conditions for that night and they seem pretty poor for that day (marked as "considerable moonlight"). In fact, it's only two nights away from a full moon when they won't even offer the excursion.

Has anyone experienced the biobay during 'not so great' (too much moonlight) conditions. Is it worth it??

Appreciate any help/info you can offer. Thanks!

When I did the biobay with kayakingpuertorico.com, I asked them about that, and they said they have a tent they use to block out the light so that people who may be visiting during "light nights" can see the wonders of the biobay. Of course, they say it's as good as or better than "dark nights" but they have an interest in selling tours!

IMO, it's an affordable excursion, and I like kayaking, so I do it just for a chance to be on the water at night. I also like the food kiosks that sell local food and drinks. It's one big party on the lagoon on the weekends!
