Silver Shadow in the news in OZ

We left the Shadow in Singapore on Tuesday. The ship was then on a four day charter around Langkowi Islands. The ship had been chartered by ANZ Bank, one of the top four in Australia. The charter must have been booked a long time ago for middle management who had performed very well. Looks like the charter has backfired because sometime in the past four weeks the ANZ bank announced that there would be 1000 jobs to go in the next 12 months. The Media here have been having a "field day", good publicity for Silversea as the words luxury and anything you ask for have been used many times. Hope those on the charter will have jobs to go back to.

I've been watching this also. It has created a huge 'stink' especially with the loss of the 1000 jobs.
