obsessedsc Posted March 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2012 we are in an oceanview baclony. will there be a fridge. i dont remember our past cabins having one. but ive seen several posters talk about having the attendant clear it out prior to sail away. we are hoping we have one to store some of our baby's food/bottles. packedandready Posted March 12, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2012 I wouldn't call them a fridge....more of a cooler....and and very bad one at that. I don't think I'd trust them for any food. Just a waste of valuable space IMHO.
VillageDwellers Posted March 12, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Would the fridge be cool enough to store milk, for instance? The worst thing would be for the milk to go bad and unwittingly serve it to a child.
CVU Posted March 12, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Our fridge in our Allure D5 was very cold!!! Usually they are like a cooler yes, but I guess they improved on them on the Allure?
macruisefan Posted March 12, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2012 It will work fine. My suggestion is to NOT empty it out. Only take out enough to obtain the amount of space you need. A full fridge stays cooler better.
obsessedsc Posted March 12, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted March 12, 2012 we will really just need it for the water bottles (unless we use tap) and sometimes if he doesnt eat a full container of his food (he'd end up eating it before the end of the day). so cooler temp is fine! we've made do at a hotel without one so it's no big deal. just interested in knowing! Milk is always available in the Windjammer when you need it.
