Heres My Question.....Theres 3 of us going on a Alaska Cruise in May on the Pearl..Theres my Mother In law, DW and Myself....

Were all in the same Suite and My MIL Always puts down her own Credit Card right at the beginning of the cruise and all her Excursions, Purchases, Drinks and Casino charges go directly to her....

My DW and I put down one card at the start also.......

My Question is?....On the last couple cruises I got money from the Casino....Was doing bad and had went through the cash I had on hand..

The DW wasnt Thrilled about this but Hey its My Cash as well....

Anyway this time I was thinking that "IF" I wasnt doing well in the casino and Needed Cash again...I'd put down a Seperate Credit Card thats ONLY in My Name......

Can you do this?......Would it be in the Casino or Pursers Desk?.....

Also If I Pre-Purchase Casino OBC.....How does that work?

Is there a Seperate Charge if I'm doing it before We actually cruise?...

Whats the BEST Way To Handle this?.....

HOPEFULLY I'LL BE WINNING BIG LIKE ON SOME OF MY OTHER CRUISES AND THIS WOULD BE A MOOT POINT.......:D

Thanks for Any Help or Ideas?

I'm fairly certain that you'd need to put down your own credit card at the purser's desk. The problem is that the on-board account for the cabin needs to be linked to one credit card. A couple of suggestions:

1. Use YOUR credit card for the on board account, then work it out later with DW.

2. Ask NCL before your cruise if it's possible to split the final bill between two cards. I think it might be possible, in which case you could take the casino cash advances on your card, and leave the rest on the joint or DW card.

Sorry, can't help you with pre-purchased casino OBC; haven't ever done that.

Yes, hopefully you'll be winning big....but.........don't count on it. Just Sayin' :)

Hopefully this will be a Lucky Cruise but I'm always ready for those Bad Days.....

We pre-purchased casino OBC's before our last cruise. They are limited to only one denomination per person as listed under the NCL website Bon Voyage gift section. Your credit card will be charged at time of purchase. There is no surcharge for purchasing OBC's. The vouchers for the casino OBC's were in our stateroom when we arrived.

Good luck in the casino and have fun on your cruise.

Thanks, I think I'm going to Pre-Buy some Casino OBC and I heard that its not a problem to put down my credit card halfway through the crusie if I have to......

Hopefully I'll be doing GREAT with the Cash I'll have onhand.....:D

Hi! It is not correct that the on board account for a cabin needs to be linked to a single credit card. For exactly the reasons laCal raises, I have ALWAYS made sure that my DH and I each register with separate credit cards when we check in. He uses his credit card, I use mine. Works fine - never any problem.
