Many travel agents will give around 8% or more of the fare (not including taxes and port fees) in OBC. That's $400 on $5,000. There's quite a difference between $50 and $400!

What's funny (and I don't know for sure if it's related) is, our cruise fares jumped up $50 in each category today. They've been totally stable since we booked 2 weeks ago until today!

Yep, I knew they would, in fact I was tempted to book but now will wait until after the "sale" and see if they go back down.
