I am probably one of the luckiest people you will ever meet.

I often win jackpots on land casino's. I usually win raffle tickets at fund raisers. And I'm always the one who goes home with the center piece at a wedding because I have the penny under my bread dish.

In fact, I won my first cruise with a raffle ticket back in 1987 on the Song of Norway. We could barely afford to go as we had to forfeit our weeks pay (both new on the job and no vacation time), but we thought we would manage. Upon boarding the ship, we walked around and at some point found ourselves in the casino. I had never seen a slot machine before this. I got change for my dollar (3 quarters is what it took), put the 75 cents in a flaming sevens and hit the jackpot of $250 US dollars. Yes, I won the cruise and I won the jackpot :)

HOWEVER....

I've been on 2 more cruises since then and have NEVER as much as won a free spin on any machine. It has always been my belief that the machines on a ship are never loose and are not regulated as the ones where I live. I have no proof, nor research, but I have yet to win ANYTHING on a slot machine at sea since my first pull.

My advice...either don't play or really limit your bank roll. Go to Vegas and play there if you want better action (with that said, I never win in Vegas, either, lol...just here in Ontario, I win for some reason).

Have a great trip! I leave for mine on May 5th and have already said to my husband that I have no intention of spending a dime in the casino.
