Hi, Most cruise lines have the same activities during the day as P&O.Princess and Royal caribbean ship are great.their ships are really modern and spacious. Brossy Posted March 19, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2012 Hi Drelix I have just done my last 3 cruises with Royal Caribbean. There were a lot of activities that were similar to those on P&O and some different ones. I personally think they don't have as many as P&O but they were still fun. Activities included : Bingo - Aussie version. Similiar to P&O except they only play 4 games not 5. Prizes on Rhapsody were huge for a 3 nighter, not so good on Radiance though. Sea Horse Racing - Horses were auction off (same as P&O where winner takes all). 3 races - 1st & 2nd - min $2 bet, 3rd race min $5 bet. Trivia - lots of it (P&O do this better!). Cocktail / wine courses. Learn to dance (different types). Sing-a-longs in the atrium. Stage shows (P&O do these better) Marriage match game. Belly flop contest. Basketball, soccer, ping pong, shuffleboard & golf competitions. Battle of the Sexes The Quest - NOT TO BE MISSED!!! Hope this helps. P.S. I'm looking at a cruising on Carnival again soon too :D
Aus Traveller Posted March 19, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2012 Although I prefer Princess to P&O, I feel thqt P&O have more activities during the day (particularly sports-type activities on deck) and they do the Island deck party very well. Princess often has guest lecturers whereas P&O hardly ever do. Shows - I feel the Princess dance/singing production shows are better than P&O because the dance troup is much larger, however, I like the Pirates and Circus shows on P&O.
