I think it's relative to what you get where you live.

 

Water temp is probably 50 to 60 degrees F.

In May, the water temps in Nassau are around 75 degrees. A little cooler in Freeport, which is about 100 miles north of Nassau.

I'll be there the weekend before Memorial Day and if the water is 75 degrees, I'll be in heaven:)

Depends on the weather preceding. This year is was about 70. The water wasn't bad, but the wind can make it chilly.

These are pretty close, but we've had some very cold weather for extended periods of time, which made it a bit colder this season.

 

Plus, even if the water is "brisk", the breeze in the air can make it quite uncomfortable. Plus.. it depends on where you live and what you are used to.

 

Personally, I can't get into the water after Thanksgiving.. just too darn cold for me. I'll wait for mid spring.

I'm with you... being from Florida, anything lower than 80 degrees seems chilly! :o
