Beer has been from about $4.95 to about $5.50, depending on the beer. With a bucket, you pay for 5 and get 6. You can mix brands but the free beer is then figured at the price of the cheapest beer in the bucket. The 16 ounce alumium bottles are usually the more expensive ones.

How is it only a dollar if you buy 5 and get 1 free? Do they charge for the bucket?

Some ships charge a five dollar deposit, which is returned to your account when you return the bucket...and some ships don't charge a deposit for it. But yes, I compute I'm saving almost a dollar a bottle with the bucket, depending on the cost of the particular beer.

That is only if the $5 deposit for the bucket itself has been paid and it is not returned (ie. just left somewhere etc) with the receipt for the refund.
