Best Way from AmTrak to Canada Place

We will be taking AmTrak from Seattle to Vancouver for our May 21st sailing on the HAL Zaandam.

 

There will be 6 of us. Will there be any shuttles from the AmTrak Station to Canada Place?

 

What would you recommend as the most economical way?

It's less than 2 miles, so a couple of cabs is the easiest.

Another possibility (if everyone is able to walk a block with their luggage) is to go on the skytrain. It is less than a block from the Amtrack station. If you go out the front door of the station look to your left about 10 o'clock. You will need Canadian money to purchase your tickets. Canada station is about 2 or 3 stops away. It is heading in the direction away from the train station. Canada place is cattycorner from the Sky train station. Have fun.

We will have an assistance required person with us, so we'll go with the Taxi option.

 

I saw from an earlier post that we should be able to pay the cabbie with a credit/debit card.

Yes you can - just tell him as soon as you get in, because they do up the paperwork along the way.

Do you know the cost of the cab from the amtrak station to the cruise dock?

We will be taking a cab from the dock to the station.

I know the Skytrain is $2 Canadian/pp.

 

P.S. I'm glad to see people are taking the Amtrak option. That's a scenic route in itself.
