Sky cabin help

First time on NCL (10-29-12) and I just booked cabin 8029 on the sky...... Can you hear through the floor in this room? I was concerned about it being open below us and the casino but the booking agent assured us this room was quite.... (But they say anything to get your money right?) Anyway, I only put down a deposit and have until Aug. to cancel without fees. So I need to know anyone's experience in this room or a room near it please.

Thanks for your help

Last March, DH and I were in 8140, just up the hall from your stateroom. We loved the location. It was convenient to everything except the gangway. It was also very quiet, though we weren't directly above the casino. We were above the shops. You're not directly above the casino either, by the looks of the deck plans. It looks like you're over the corridor that leads from the atrium towards the casino. I don't think you'd have an issue with casino noise.

With your stateroom, I'd be a bit more concerned about the atrium elevator banks being right there. Maybe someone who's had a cabin near those might be able to chime in on that.
