lisatx04 Posted March 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2012 I have been looking at sailing Mariner out of Galveston next March. Today I looked at Navigator out of New Orleans, for the same week. NOS was over $1800 less than MOS. I used the same types of cabins on both ships. The only difference is NOS sails Sat-Sat and MOS sails Sun-Sun. A plus is that I can drive to both of these ports, which will save on airfare. Why such a big price diffderence? If you have sailed on NOS and/or out of New Orleans, please let me know your thoughts. My only experience with RCCL is on the Freedom. Thanks!!
will773 Posted March 27, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2012 I woulds say it's as simple as more people wanting to cruise out of Galveston, and not NOLA.

There must be more demand for the Mariner, relative to the number of remaining unsold cabins.
