POM to MIA airport

Can anyone tell me the best way to get from the ship to Miami airport on debarkation?

Is it best to book a transfer or is it just as cheap/easy to get a taxi (2 people)?

We've always had transfers included in the past but not this year.

Thanks in advance :)

OP, thanks for asking the question. I am wondering how hard it will be to find a taxi for 5 passengers (2 adults, 3 kids). Anyone know?

I am a family of 5 and had no problem. When you come out they have a porter there, just tell him you have 5 and he will call over a minivan taxi. There were plenty of them when I was there.

We have 5 also, 5 ladies wanting to get the party started and wanting to head to the port together! Is the charge for the taxi minivan the same as the taxi? 24?

Thanks!

Yes same price for the minivan taxi. The only problem for you may be getting one from the hotel to the POM. When I went in October, our hotel called for one to bring us to the port and there weren't any available. We ended up with a shuttle like van and it ended up costing us about $35 from South Beach to POM. We didn't care, we just wanted to get to the port. You don't say where you will be transporting from.

When leaving the Port after the cruise, there were lots of minivans there lined up.

No hotel for us, airport to port, and vice-versa....

that would be great instead of paying for two cabs (48)
