Overflow Parking on 59th St for Manhattan Port?

Hi everyone:

Going on Veendam to Bermuda on Sunday Apr 22 out of NYC. I read on a couple of posts that because there are so many ships that sail on the day before, there are very few parking spots left unless you arrive by 10 am. I also read on a post that there is an overflow lot on 59th St. Anyone know where this overflow lot is and whether it costs the same as at the port i.e. $30 per day and $210 for the week.

Also, I think I read somewhere, can't find it now, that there is an alternative by parking on the NJ side and then taking the ferry over but not sure how close this ferry docks near the cruise ship port, i.e. can you walk it or a cab is required?

Thanks.
