Hi anyone know if you can fit a travel cot in the area where the bunk beds are? It would be nice if there is a private area for the cot so that we can watch tv etc without disturbing ds. Also anyone any pics?

My kids stayed in fpr 7307 and the bunk bed room is pretty tight. Maybe it would fit in there but whoever is sleeping in the bunk beds wouldn't be able to get out of bed without crawling over the cot.

In this case why need a cot? Can daughter just sleep in the bottom bunk?

My son is only 16 months I'd be afraid he would fall out in his sleep. He moves alot at night in the cot. I could probably try him if the cot didn't fit.

We stayed in 8607 on Independence of the Seas, family promenade stateroom.

 

Fantastic room, great location overlooking the promenade and Ben & Jerry's.

 

The room is huge, bathroom to left, bunk room to the right. I would say not regarding fitting in a travelcot but due to the size and layout you may have other options. There is a curtain between the kingside bed and double sofa (which presumably you won't be using as a sofa bed if only 3 of you). You could put the travel cot by your bed and close the curtain then move it at bed time. There is a big walk in wardrobe!!?? A cot would fit in there and if you propped the door open it wouldn't be a total blackout.

 

Either way you've got a great room so look forward to it and enjoy!

why not just bring a bed rail or request one? He would not fall far anyways as the lower berth is not too far from the ground... You could pad the flood with the spreads from the bed and pillows...:)

Thanks DaisyDoo, it sounds like a similar layout to the junior suite. We had this last year and did what you suggested just pulled the curtain over and put the cot infront of the sofa. Never actually thought of the wardrobe but would prob feel a bit weird putting him in there iykwim. I'm sure we will figure something out alright, can't wait. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

NCL supplied them, this is our first time cruising on RCCL. But you can purchase the foldable ones by The First Years at Toys R Us, Target and Walmart. The foldable rail will fit nicely in the bottom of your suitcase and they are very sturdy!

There is only like a foot (maybe 2) between the wall and the beds. I will try to remember tonight to get my pictures (would have been Liberty).

WoW, thanks for sharing those pics. Would u say those are full length bunk beds or child size? We booked this type of room for a feb 2013 cruise.
