Sunshine in Ketchikan

The whole North is heaven right now (even more than usual :D ) Carcross has been 72-73 the past 3 days, and the ice will be off most of the lakes very soon now. These are the days that make Winter worth putting up with!

Not great but there are fish that go streaming up there. The problem is you either got to fish on some steep rocks or up on top of the bridge with a whole bunch of other people. The fish are not biting to well because they are starting there run upriver but snagging seems to work OK. As of last year there were pole rentals infront of the Lumberjack show right next to the Salmon Landing.

Now - weather like that is not fair!! You have it nicer than us in Iowa. It has been between 30 and the low 50s for the past week. Let's hope the weather in Alaska is good when we get there and we don't bring this bad weather with us.

Thats the first time I have seen the words Ketchikan and sun used in the same sentence!!! No, not really. On both of our cruises, we had sun in Ketchikan both days, so I don't believe all that raingage stuff anymore. Thats just a way to hold down the number of tourists!!!!
