Sgàile Posted April 14, 2018 #176 Share Posted April 14, 2018 So ours wasn't remarkable. We met in the Blue Sapphire lounge and then were led to our station, sans vest. We were there maybe 10 to 15 minutes and then dismissed. Several allegedly missed it and were made to attend a subsequent session.
evandbob Posted April 14, 2018 #177 Share Posted April 14, 2018 Every muster drill has the warning that procedures are not standard ship to ship and may change over time. In about 50 cruises over 15 years, I think the major change has been to allow or begin indoor seating and to scan S&S cards for attendance verification. Otherwise, pretty much the same words and phrases that corporate lawyers and the Coast Guard have approved are used. Just like an airline instruction on how to attach a seat belt, many people's eyes glaze over as the instructions drone on and on. A necessary evil? I faithfully attend each muster/safety drill, because the cruise "officially" starts for me once it's out of the way.
