Rayefan Posted April 26, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2005 I recall reading many newspaper articles about this sad situation. It was true and she lived back east somewhere. I was searching online until I found out for myself that it was true... even found the obituary news article on this women. Too, too sad.... However, I never did read the final outcome of who could have done this....
derf5585 Posted April 26, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2005 i think it was on a cruise to mexico... It was Annette Mizener. I am still following that story. This is a email from her Pastor ________________________________________________________________ Nothing really has changed. Channel 4 in Milwaukee had John and I on Thursday the 27th of January. We aren't going to let this fade away without answers. We are praying and seeking the truth, even if it's not to our liking. We hope that by hiring an attorney the investigation will yield the truth. The preliminary investigation should be completed by the end of February and then we can proceed legally. Thanks for your prayers and concerns - Never give up! Your friend, Pastor Rick Kielley ___________________________________________________________ This is the last email from the Pastor ___________________________________________________________ Carnival Cruise Lines had 30 days to respond with "requested information" to Cannon & Dumphy Law firm. That time expired as of April 1st. I haven't heard anything new. You may wish to contact them directly. Again - thanks for your prayers and support. Your friend, Pastor Rick Kielley _______________________________________________________________ I am emailing the pastor again

AIMS312 Posted April 26, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 26, 2005 Wow, you would think that Carnival would want to do everything they could to help these people. Unless they are trying to hide something.
Magnifique1908 Posted April 26, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 26, 2005 Wow, you would think that Carnival would want to do everything they could to help these people. Unless they are trying to hide something. or unless they honestly don't know anymore than what has been told... ...i feel bad for the family...and pray that they get their answers, but I hate when people always assume the negative side of things....she disappeared under mysterious circumstances....it is possible that Carnival really has no idea what happened to her and it is equally possible that they do...either way its a sad situation

cls624 Posted April 27, 2005 #10 Share Posted April 27, 2005 I live in Wisconsin, not far from Waukesha, where that woman was from. I haven't heard anything on our local news, since it all happened. How terrible, for the family to wonder what did really happen.
ILov2cruise Posted April 27, 2005 #11 Share Posted April 27, 2005 Derf, I know your very into this case but don t you think it's strange that her family had a service for her 6 days after she was reported missing. They seemed to know she was dead but didn t think to wait for the body that might show up. After 6 days I would still have hoped she might be alive. Even after 9/11 people knew their loved ones were dead but still waited to see if their bodies would turn up. They gave up all hope within 1 week. What was the rush. Very strange that after 1 week her husband needed to close this chapter of her life.

I agree, but everyone agrees she ended up in the ocean. Survival after a couple of days in the water is remote. I wonder about the seven year rule for declaring her dead.
