Booking question

Recommended Posts

We want to take our kids on a cruise next year.. probably in the fall. At any rate, I have a few questions about booking this far out and using ES rate.

We will have 2 rooms with 4 people in each room. Can we book the first two people in each room, then add the others on later? We want to make sure that we get the rooms that we want... but don't quite have enough deposit money for all 8 people yet. We ended up in rooms we were not so thrilled with last time. They were several rooms apart and tiny. This time, we want to make sure that doesn't happen. So, is this possible and does it affect it at all to use the ES rate?

Thanks for the help.

There are lots of restrictions on the ES rate and one of them is no changes either in name or passengers once the cabin is booked, so I'd say you can't add anyone later using ES. The only change you can make is to cancel and move to a different cruise at a later date, but even that will cost you $50 to make that change.

The main problem with this is that they will not book 2 people in a room for 4 unless they have no more 2 person cabins...so when you book for 2 people, the rooms that hold 4 won't be available and then you wouldn't be able to add more people as there wouldn't be any room for everyone.
