We are planning to visit Spa Baan Suerte in May when we cruise. I've been following them on facebook and yesterday they posted this message:

Spa Baan Suerte regrets to inform you that as of October 1, 2012 we will have a small increase in cost due to a rise in overheads that we can no longer absorb. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes our guests. We hope you will continue to enjoy the amazing Spa Baan Suerte experience you have come to know and love!

To make the most of our current prices please get booking for the last few days of August and of course the whole of September! Contact Talia our General Manager on 24453059 or 97398229 or email us at baansuerte@yahoo.com

We thank you for your understanding and support :)

Just thought I'd let everyone know so maybe you can book before the prices go up. I'm not sure if they will honor the prices at the time of booking or when you visit? I reserved with Island Marketing so hopefully we get the same $99 rate from them.

Just got a notice, so in case you plan on going here, take note.

NEW Payment Policy

All appointments require a 50% deposit via Paypal or Credit Card number to hold the appointment space.

Spa Baan Suerte only accepts payment in form of Paypal, cash US Dollars, cash Honduran Lempiras or Credit Card.

We DO NOT accept Travellers Cheques.

Full payment is required prior to the treatment.

Unfortunately a guest from a Cruise Ship came to our beautiful Spa and did not bring any valid form of payment with her in November 2012. Due to this incident we have had to change our policy on payment.

Spa Baan Suerte apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this change in policy may cause our valued customers.

From their Facebook page:

CHANGE IN PAYMENT POLICY...

Unfortunately Spa Baan Suerte was victim to a dishonest cruiser in November of 2012 who came and enjoyed a wonderful treatment at our beautiful spa... she wrote on her survey ¨My cabin was adorable! My experience was excellent and I will tell everyone I know. Thanks.¨

The lady then left without paying for her treatment with her tour driver. The manager called the driver for the lady to come back to the spa to pay for her treatment. The lady then showed she had not bought any cash or credit cards off the ship with her. She did have travelers cheques, however these were later found to be void.

Spa Baan Suerte would like to apologize to our future guests for any inconvenience bought about by our change in policy and I hope you will all understand our changes are due to the actions of one, not the majority of our amazing guests. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Sucks that there are people out there who spoil stuff for honest folks.
