Interesting, but impractical because the dining room is entered through those "wings"...

 

Of course I havent been aboard the ships - but I see walls on the deckplan...

...if walls aren't there, couldn't some be installed, with retractable glass panels angled towards the windows and an opening at the corner for service access to the kitchens, etc??

(I assume access to the kitchens below are via the central casing)
