Native Floridian 26 Posted April 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Sailing with hubby and DD age 21 next month in same cabin. While we paid DD's fare and will pay her tips, she has set up her own Sail & Sign account to use her own credit card for her onboard spending. Can we get the auto tips that would normally be applied on her account moved to our account thus using our credit card and not hers?
ladyj3641 Posted April 8, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Probably the only way for the tips to not be added to her SS is to prepay them now or at check-in with cash??

Native Floridian 26 Posted April 8, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted April 8, 2012 The problem with prepaying is that we want to use our onboard credit for them.
INTERLINER13 Posted April 8, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 8, 2012 What if you adjusted your amount to double, and removed hers completely. If you are in the same cabin, and eat at the same table it should not make a difference who pays them.

Native Floridian 26 Posted April 8, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Great ideas, since they are adjustable anyway. I can take daughter's off and add to mine. Doesn't seem like it would be a problem at all, just a visit to the purser's desk. Thanks everyone!
kayhold Posted April 9, 2012 #8 Share Posted April 9, 2012 If you prepay gratuities, it will deduct from your OBC if you're paid in full. That is what we did. Wait until final payment, then call and have them added.
lucigo Posted April 9, 2012 #9 Share Posted April 9, 2012 I have been on a couple of cruises where one of my kids was rooming with grandma. I just went to the purser's desk and had their tips removed from her room and added to mine, no problem.

Hopefully it was the same cabin steward or one got shafted and one got a bonus
