US Citizens returning to the US on disembarkation flying Air Canada

Hi y'all,

I read somewhere (can't remember where, but it may have been here for all I know) that if you're a US citizen returning to the US on disembarkation day flying Alaska, American, Air Canada, United or Continental, you can pay $15 per person to have your baggage checked all the way to your hometown and receive your boarding pass on board. Apparently this is a nice perk given that the customs line at the Vancouver B.C. airport on Sunday mornings are very long (we're disembarking on a Sunday).

Anyway just trying to confirm if this option is true?

How do I sign up for this - is it through the cruiseline? When can I sign up for this (anytime during my cruise or do I need to do it before the cruise departs)?

Thanks much for any feedback you can provide!

Cheers,

Tracey
