Donuts?

I do not recall ever seeing donuts offered at the lido buffet or dining room. They do have bagels, croissants, and danish. Perhaps they might sell them at the coffee bar onboard (if your ship has one), but I'm not really sure.

Nothing wrong with asking about doughnuts, Johnathan.

I don't recall seeing any on any of my cruises. I know there's Danish and croissants, because I order them every morning from room service with coffee. Doughnuts aren't listed on the room service menu, nor on the dining room breakfast menu, but they MAY have them on Lido.....?

i recall eating some on my voyage on the Navigator of the Seas, in July..only in the morning...hehe they were good 2....

And this is relevant to a Carnival ship, how? If the OP wanted to know about an RCI ship, doubtless they would have posted on the RCI board.

No donuts on the Carnival ships. However, they do seem to have everything else - bagels, muffins, croissants, raspberry and cheese danishes, apple turnovers.

It's probably a good thing they did not have donuts, from my waistline's perspective. Mmmmmm..... free donuts.

We have had doughnuts in the Dining Room during breakfast on HAL, RCI and Carnival. They usually bring a tray or cart around with all the breakfast pastries and breads. The doughnuts are not even close to looking or tasting like Krispy Kreme but my husband likes them (I only eat them at Krispy Kreme when the “Hot & Now” sign is on). They look like the basic ones you can buy at your local grocery store in the bakery section. I wouldn’t count on much doughnut variety from Carnival – they just had plain glazed. On HAL and RCI they have plain, glazed, chocolate, crème and jelly filled.

I didn't see any donuts on our recent Glory cruise. I'm not a fan of donuts, I almost never eat them, but on Celebrity they had these warm, cakelike, cinnamon donuts that were out of this world! They're the only donuts I've eaten in probably 20 years, they were that good. Yummmmmmm:)

Maybe because they will base their decision on which cruise lines have donuts. And realize that if they want donuts on their cruise they will have to change cruise lines.

The earliest occurrence of the term 'dough nut'

doughnut originated with Hanson Crockett Gregory, a sea captain of Rockport, Maine

It is relevant because if donuts happen to be an important criteria, the OP knows what ship to find them on. You never know what minor detail will help sway a decision...

We're talking cruiseships here, not comparing our children.

I have sailed on Hal numerous times but never saw any donuts either in the dining room or the lido. They do bring a tray/cart around, but all I ever saw were pastries, croissants, bagels, muffins but no donuts. I always wished they had jelly donuts. I don't think I ever saw a true donut on any cruise line.

As far as Krispy Kremes go, it is the ultimate sugar high. I hate the things but some of my family like them.
