Hi were due to set sail on the 6th of may Med cruise for our honeymoon and was wondering about the corkage.

1. Is it cash ( or card )up front in the Terminal or does it go to your on board account?

2. Can we take it straight to our rooms after we declare it at the terminal?

3. Can we bring wine (and pay corkage) at every port? or Just Embarkation?

4. Is soda allowed to be brought on?

5. Finaly If I want a bottle of our own wine at a restaurant do we just bring it along?

Thanks in advance Gregor & Michelle (Virgin Cruisers) :D

You will use your onboard account for the corkage fee. You'll already have your key card to pay for it when you reach the table where they make the charge. You can take it on board with you and you can take it along if you want to have it in a restaurant. You can buy wine at every port. Soda is permitted. You'll have no trouble getting it on board at any port.

When you pay the corkage, they will put a sticker on each bottle. You can take those bottles anywhere on board and the bar staff or waiter will provide the appropriate glass. If you wish, in a restaurant, they will recork the unused portion of the bottle and store it for you...you can then have it recalled at any bar or restaurant at a later time.
