seattlecruiser Posted April 28, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 28, 2005 Lulabug, I just this week used Priceline for a Downtown Vancouver bid for May 13th. I got the 4-star Sheraton Wall Center for $80 per night. A great website for Priceline bidding stategy is http://www.biddingfortravel.com.

mhb1757 Posted April 29, 2005 #7 Share Posted April 29, 2005 When you enter the city for the hotel search you just enter "Vancouver"...however be careful, when you get to the page with the city map and the different areas of Vancouver you want to make sure that the ONLY area you check is downtown Vancouver....other areas could leave you quite a distance from where you want to be. It is also probably wise to limit your bidding to 4* properties in that downtown zone if you want to stay near Canada Place.... a couple of the 3* properties in that zone are a way out and in marginal neighborhoods (the hotels themselves are fine, just too far out to be easy for sightseeing, etc). All of the 4* properties in that zone are very nice hotels and well located.
