Hand-made crafts

I would like to know where the shops or market is for crafts made by the locals. Also I collect Christmas ornaments at all the ports and islands we visit does anyone know where there might be a good shop to find some?

Thanks in advance, Paula B.

I can't help you with Christmas ornaments - I really don't know whether these are made locally anywhere.

There are many many many souvernir shops in the downtown area where you can purchase handcrafts. Make sure to ask the vendor whether these are local.

Lots of items sold at the souvenir stalls come from Haiti or the Dominican Republic.

The only places where I'm certain you'll find true local crafts are at Landhuis Groot Santa Martha or Caribbean Crafts in Janthiel. Both are located far from the cruise ship, but you could find tours including these stops.

Have a great cruise!
