lisareneeo Posted April 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2012 I read that "formal night" (5 night to Bermuda on Explorer) is the first full day at sea. Correct? Anyone know which night they usually serve lobster in main dining room? Trying to decide which night to book Portofino's. Any suggestions? Thanks
marci22 Posted April 15, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2012 Yes, first full day at sea, so Night 2. Lobster was on the last night. Nights 3 & 4 are sometimes reversed on this menu. I usually see Venetian night on Night 3 but maybe they switch it on the 5night Bermuda because that is a port night and they want to serve the unfortunate beef shoulder. lisareneeo Posted April 17, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted April 17, 2012 Thank you so much for the info. This is exactly what I was looking for. Now, I just need to decide which night to book Portofino's. Thanks!
rncruiser Posted April 18, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2012 I recommend booking it for the first night. Not only is it one of my least favorite menus, but after the first night I really don't feel hungry for the rest of the week. We once did Portofino's on night 3 and had to order the Seafood Skewer because it was the lightest thing on the menu. Not that I don't love seafood, but it was not what I was planning to eat at an Italian restaurant.:)
