Color of beach towels

When we sailed on the Glory I noticed that the Carnival Cruise Towels came in many different colors. I was guessing that the different decks got different towels. Anyone have the answer to this one?

I think there is no rhyme or reason. We were on Conquest on Panorama deck, usually we had the light blue ones. But once we got the dark blue ones and another time we got the purple ones. I don't know how they dole out the towels. Probably just whatever is available.

I thought the probably ALL started out blue, the purple ones were bleached, and the light blue ones were just washed a lot...:D
