Well folks, who said gambling doesn't pay. I rec'd an invitation from P&O yesterday launching their new Casino loyalty program and have been offered a free cruise for 2, outside and unobstructed view with ongoing VIP treatment (free drinks etc). Cruise is for 9 nights on Jewel - July 15. Really peeved as I can't go as just arrived back last week from B2B to Middle East & India on RCCL. I think there new program will offer lots & lots of freebies from now on even though must say was treated very nicely on previous cruises using my Carnival VIP card. Anyone else receive this offer.

Ummmm wondering is having a week long sickie would look obvious. I would love to pass onto someone however all the doc's hjave my name plastered over them and need passport to confirm...it's a real bummer:)

Have you ever played in the casino on board P&O ships? On the Pearl you can put your cruise card into the slot on the poker machine (like they have in pubs and clubs). Do you think that is how they got your name or were you just lucky :). Either way, its ashame you can take the cruise.

Yep Brossy, big time spent in sailing Casino's. I am VIP on Carnival and when I cruise P&) Aust I flash my little card for the same status. Last 3 nighter in Aug 20111 won 2 jackpots totaling $6600 on the Dawn. Also a high roller VIP on RCCL which includes Celebrity and they give back big cash rewards and upgrades. Never pay of drinks on any cruise as this comes with the VIP tag. Woo HOo. As for tracking, on all ships you put in you sail & sign card and this tracks your $$ spend and won. Thank goodness more of the latter LOL:)

I never put my card in last time as I only played Roulette. I'll have to make sure I join all their clubs (just so I can score some free drinks :D).

 

Congrats on winning the jackpots, I can't even win a bingo session lol ;).

Hi Brossy,

 

One thing to note is that you need to be playing _a lot_ to get the VIP status and perks.

just rang p&o australia and asked about this loyalty program and it was the p&o loyalty program office australia was told that they never heard of such a program which i would love to join . or is it just with princess and others more info about it would be great as i donate a fair bit to the casino thx

The loyalty program is called Southern Cross Players Club and will be launched on July 15 cruise on Jewel not sure about the other ships as the invitation was with the Jewel. On past cruises I have always contacted the casino host on the first day and they reciprocate my VIP membership - Players Club from Carnival USA (as they actually own P & O Aust)

yes-got this offer--choice of 10 or so cruises--going on the aria in july--12night fiji from brizzy.
