civitaveccia port storage

we are looking at cruise Istanbul to Rome, 1 week in Italy, then transatlantic from Civitaveccia.

 

does anyone know if there is baggage storage at the port?

we have been several times, but never noticed.

would like to leave bags there and travel lightly by train.

I have never seen any storage at Civitavecchia but there is a huge storage facility at termini station in Rome if that helps at all.

No, unfortunately, the train station in Civitavecchia does not offer storage.

I would try to make arrangements at a local hotel. Most hotels have storage for their clients and may help you for a small fee. Other than that you will have to travel light. Check out all the posts about people who cruise with one carry on bag.

We are also looking into this. From the website it seems that the ferry terminal at the port has luggage storage facilities. Last time we were there- 3 years ago- we left 3 large bags at the shop near where you get on the shuttle into the port for a few days while we went to Florence. I don't know if you can still do that or even if the shop is still there. Any updates would be great as we can't be the only ones who want to do this. Jennie
