Kingof2v1 Posted April 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2012 Hi all, going on the Dream soon, and I know they have NL Hold'em virtual poker tables. What can people tell me about how active these were during the cruise? I went on a cruise a few years ago, and throughout the whole cruise it was hard to get more than 3 people on that table at once. Also, does anyone know anything about the blinds structure and the rake they take? Thanks!

LaCal Posted April 30, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2012 We Always Play Texas Hold-Em while were on Cruises.....Both the Tournaments and Live Cash Games..... I know what your saying about sometimes there seems to be No Players BUT We've been Lucky as of late and there was Always a Game Going by Late Afternoon.....Full Tables.... On some Cruises the Full Tables wouldnt get going till after Dinner..... We've Won Our Share of Tournaments or came in Second Place as well.... Were leaving in less than 2 weeks on NCL/Alaska and are praying theres alot of Poker Players.....I know NCL is still one of the last few Cruise Lines that still have Live Dealers and Chips....Every Other line has switched over to the Electronic Poker Pro Tables..... The Rake can Vary but I know Carnival is less than NCL....NCL is HIGH.... Try doing a SEARCH in the Casino Section and put in Poker Rake.....Might Help..... *****I JUST DID A QUICK SEARCH FOR YOU...SEEMS CARNIVAL HAS A 10% RAKE WITH MAX OF $6.00..........NCL IS 10% RAKE MAX $25.00.....QUITE A DIFFERENCE BUT I ALWAYS STILL PLAY AND MOST OF THE TIME COME OUT WINNING..... Good Luck and Have Fun.....WIN ALOT.....:D
