Seattle Pier 66 car rental question

We're cruising on the NCL Jewel from 5/19 through 5/26, and will be spending about a day and a half in Seattle post-cruise. I need to get a rental car so we can drive around for that time, and wondered how that works at the pier.

 

According to the website for pier 66, rental car representatives will be available at the pier on cruise days and passengers will be transported to car rental locations for pick up. Do I need to make advance reservations with one of the companies listed (Alamo, Enterprise, National)? If so, has anyone used this service and what was your experience?
