Adjoining Sky Balcony rooms...open doors?

I'm traveling on the SKY in September for a bachelorette party cruise. We booked two adjoining balcony rooms and I was wondering if anyone knows if you can have the steward open the balcony doors to make one big balcony? I asked this once on the Jewel but we were told by the steward that we couldn't, however, I always read how people do this on NCL boats! Any info is much appreciated. :D

From what I've read on here it seems to be hit or miss depending on your steward and how strictly the rules are being enforced. You can always ask. I would expect not and be happy if they do it.
