Rcl and pureed food

NINAVMD

Recommended Posts

i have a two year old daughter, who refuses to chew most foods, at home everything gets pureed. I was wondering if anyone has requested their baby's food pureed? Do I have to do this in advance?? or i can juts ask at diner for them to puree meat/chicken etc? For the 900$ that I am paying for her, I am hoping that they can accommodate me.

Please advise, what to do!!!

Thanks so much

I cannot speak from experience, but we had originally booked an RCI cruise for the fall with a 13 month old and I did lots of research. The consensus seemed to be that the wait staff in the MDR is VERY accommodating to LOs and if you request, they will likely puree your foods.

On the flip side, if you are very worried, perhaps bringing a food mill would help?

In the past RCCL would puree foods for babies, but I did hear from some family friends that sailed not too long ago and they were told this is no longer able to be done. They were told that because so many different foods are put in the blenders that they can't guarantee that there won't be residue of foods possibly causing allergies (or foods that babies shouldn't be exposed to yet--nuts, peanut butter, etc.). As a result they no longer are able to do this for safety reasons. I'm assuming this could vary based on interpretation of staff, but if it's critical that your DD have pureed food, I'd pack some pureed foods to be on the safe side.
